    Sudden Impact – Frank Darmiento

Trombonist/composer Frank Darmiento and his quartet remind us what small group jazz is all about – musicians creating ensemble music and feeding off one another. In addition to his exceptional trombone playing, Darmiento is an award winning composer (a winner of the 2003 Dallas Wind Symphony brass fanfare competition). Sudden Impact displays his writing talents through six original compositions as well as creative arrangements on five jazz standards. This is a truly original CD.
