A second cousin of the late Jimmy Witherspoon, Diane Witherspoon is a singer who deserves great recognition. For nearly two decades, John and Paula Hackett have been developing a wonderful vocalist/lyricist relationship with Diane Witherspoon. With L.A. After Dark, it has culminated into a great recording featuring some of the best in the business.

The compositions, written by a number of great jazz instrumentalists with whom Witherspoon has had a close association, provide a wonderful musical journey for the Hackett's songwriting and, of course, Witherspoon's beautiful voice.
