The University of Georgia Wind Symphony serves the most accomplished wind and percussion musicians in the University. In commissioning new works for band, the Wind Ensemble often produces new recordings featuring new works as well as other significant works of the band repertoire. Edward Sandor is Professor of Trumpet at the School of Music of the University of Georgia, where he has taught since 1979. In addition, he performs with the Georgia Brass Quintet, which has toured nationally, in Canada, Europe, and Southeast Asia. John N. Culvahouse is an Associate Professor of Music and Interim Director of Bands at the University of Georgia. The National Band Association has presented him with the Citation of Excellence on six occasions. F. David Romines is the Associate Director of Bands and an Assistant Professor of Music at the University of Georgia. He has guest conducted throughout the Southeastern United States, Canada, Italy, and China.
