Four World Premieres, including the World Premiere of Mark O'Connor's 'March of the Gypsy Fiddler'. Since its founding in 1978, ProMusica has been recognized for excellence for its presentation of the best of traditional chamber orchestra repertoire and the development and appreciation of contemporary American music. ProMusica has commissioned over 55 new works and has presented 60 world and 48 regional premieres. The orchestra has won eight awards from the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) for adventurous programming, and continues an active recording program.
