Blue Bop – LDB3 and Friends

Linda Dachtyl plays some great Jazz Organ! She takes on the entire gamus of sounds and styles in the genre and some where along the way, manages to carve in her own moniker: LDB3.

Her debut recording on the new Chicken Coup label is truly a welcome entry into the Wild World of Jazz Organ. Linda takes us past the benches of those jazz organists who have influenced her through the years as well as those who have rocked her soul and put blues in her heart. Her sound is refreshing yet ‘old school’. It can be silky one moment and ferocious the next. One thing for sure, she gets right down to the nitty gritty from the first note and seems to know just which licks work best for each of these rhythmically charged pieces.
