Joshua Whitehouse

Biography

Before coming to Arizona, Mr. Whitehouse was Assistant Professor of Trumpet and Music Theory at the University of Maine. He was on the faculty there since completing his Master of Music in Performance in 1997. Previously, he had studied at the Eastman School of Music, Boston University’s Tanglewood Institute, and the Curtis Institute, where he earned his Bachelor of Music degree in 1995.

 

Mr. Whitehouse has performed with the Malaysian Philharmonic, New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, Bangor Symphony Orchestra, Haddonfield (New Jersey) Symphony, and the South Jersey Symphony. He has performed as a soloist with the Arcady Chamber Orchestra and the University of Rhode Island Chamber Orchestra, as well as various ensembles at the University of Maine. During the summer of 2006, he performed as a soloist with the Orchestra Divertimento for the 16th Annual Festival Credomatic in Costa Rica.

 

Mr. Whitehouse has also served as the director of Maine Summer Youth Music, a three-week program at the University of Maine campus for music students in grades 6-12.
