Trav’ler is the debut solo recording of Timothy E. Anderson, Assistant Professor of Trombone at the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). Instead of recording well-known pieces for solo trombone, Tim chose a different path, assembling music that expands the recorded repertoire of trombone solo music with new and seldom-heard music as well as music that showcases the talents of CCM’s faculty and graduates – including the critically acclaimed jazz veteran, Kim Pensyl, who has more than 100 published works recorded.
As a performer, Tim has played with orchestras of all sizes, for touring Broadway productions, and with numerous chamber ensembles, including the Carillon Brass, ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, Westwind Brass, Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, Columbus Symphony Brass Quintet, Columbus Symphony Low Brass Ensemble, Queen City Brass and Cincinnati Brassworks. He has also appeared as a soloist with numerous orchestras and bands.
