Frank Russo, The Shook-Russo Quartet
Featuring Greg Gisbert

The Shook Russo Quartet has developed an incredible, unique sound by merging the diverse backgrounds of each of its fine musicians into one voice. The result is a whirlwind of grooves, melodies, and diverse textures that is a true delight. Here, the group is joined by Greg Gisbert, one of the leading trumpeters in the international jazz scene who performed frequently with Buddy Rich,Woody Herman, Gary Burton, the Mingus Epitaph, and more. He currently tours with the Maria Schneider Jazz Orchestra and co-leads Denver-based jazz sextet Convergence. Amy Shook, one of the most in-demand upright bassists in the DC area, is coveted for her huge sound and driving groove. She has received national recognition for her contribution to the album Uncertain Path by the Rob Levit Trio. Frank Russo is one of the premier drummers in the DC area. He completed a distinguished career with the Naval Academy Band, and his previous recordings with Pete Barenbregge and Bob Boguslaw have gained national recognition in Down Beat, JazzTimes, and Modern Drummer.
