When you hear Pavarotti sing you immediately recognize him. He was more than an interpreter, a singer, a tenor; he was Pavarotti – a great inspiration.
In this album I wanted to pay homage to the Maestro by choosing seven Opera tunes and seven Neapolitan songs, famous melodies that Luciano Pavarotti used to sing in his concerts; a complete Italian album from the composers to the performers. The scores are those originally for Tenor and Orchestra with the tenor being played by the trumpet. While this project turned into a very big commitment and responsibility, it has been a great joy for me to play these wonderful melodies! I hope you enjoy!
