Trombonist/composer Frank Darmiento and his quartet remind us what small group jazz is all about – musicians creating ensemble music and feeding off one another. In addition to his exceptional trombone playing, Darmiento is an award winning composer (a winner of the 2003 Dallas Wind Symphony brass fanfare competition).
