The El Paso Wind Symphony performs Classics With A Twist, a unique repertoire of American standards paired with modern day interpretations and variations back to back to provide the listener with a fine musical resource in one recording.
Conductors and performers at all levels are commonly faced with rehearsing and performing modern interpretive pieces without the benefit of knowing or truly understanding the original work they are based on.
The El Paso Wind Symphony’s Classics With A Twist truly realizes the fundamental mission of Summit Education: to provide the listener with a well-rounded, high-quality collection of music and a valuable, educational tool.
Dr. Ron Hufstader has been Director of Bands at The University of Texas at El Paso since 1976 and served as Chairman of the Music Department from 1990 to 2002.
