The debut recording from the Empire Brass Trombonist draws from a diverse collection of composers in an exploration of the variety of ways artists use such influences as culture, popular music and the American landscape as inspiration for their work.

This collection of tunes is nearly as diverse as the people, backgrounds and ancestry that make up America itself.

Aside from Bernstein’s elegy, the only other piece on this recording composed specifically for trombone is David Jones’ scintillating trio Capra Ibex.

As a member of the Empire Brass Quintet, Mark has performed in recital and as a soloist with symphony orchestras in China, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Germany, Italy, Austria, Malaysia, Singapore, Bermuda, St. Bartholomew and across the United States.
